Dr. Sherif Abdel Azeem has been a Muslim activist for some time. A number of
publications by him are available on the internet. One Muslim website gives
the following background information:
Sherif Abdel Azeem Mohamed has a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Queen's
University (Kingston, Ontario, Canada) and is with the department of Electrical
Engineering at Cairo University. He is the author of several articles on Islam
and contemporary Islamic issues as well as being a Hafiz, that is, he has memorized
the whole Qur'an by heart. (Source)
One of his publications has been propagated widely: Women In Islam

This book was originally published by the "World Assembly of Muslim Youth" in 1995,

The purpose of the book is to demonstrate the superiority of Islam over Christianity
regarding the status and treatment of women. It is the right of every Muslim to explain
and commend the position of women in Islam. This particular publication is, however,
a polemical — and at times even vicious — attack on Christianity that
should not be left unanswered. The following are a number of different Christian
