2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and
is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction
in righteousness.
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, "All
authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore
go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name
of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching
them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am
with you always, to the very end of the age." (NIV)
Acts 1:7-8 He said to them: "It is not for you to know
the times or dates the Father has set by his own authority. But
you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and
you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria,
and to the ends of the earth." (NIV)
1 John 5:3-5 This is love for God: to obey his commands. And
his commands are not burdensome, for everyone born of God overcomes
the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even
our faith. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only he who believes
that Jesus is the Son of God. (NIV)

James 2:14-26 What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims
to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose
a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one
of you says to him, "Go, I wish you well; keep warm and well
fed," but does nothing about his physical needs, what good
is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied
by action, is dead. But someone will say, "You have faith;
I have deeds." Show me your faith without deeds, and I will
show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one
God. Good! Even the demons believe that--and shudder. You foolish
man, do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless?
Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he
did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his
faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was
made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled
that says, "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to
him as righteousness," and he was called God's friend. You
see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith
alone. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered
righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies
and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without
the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (NIV)

2 Thes 1:2-3 Grace and peace to you from God the Father and
the Lord Jesus Christ. We ought always to thank God for you, brothers,
and rightly so, because your faith is growing more and more, and
the love every one of you has for each other is increasing. (NIV)
2 Tim 2:3-7 Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of
Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian
affairs--he wants to please his commanding officer. Similarly,
if anyone competes as an athlete, he does not receive the victor's
crown unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking
farmer should be the first to receive a share of the crops. Reflect
on what I am saying, for the Lord will give you insight into all
this. (NIV)
2 Cor 4:16-18 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly
we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by
day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us
an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes
not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is
temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. (NIV)
